The Slowest Creature Makes a Fancy iPod Speaker!

What if a music loving turtle were to meet an iPod and they instantly fell in love? And this turtle was the same white color as the classic Apple iPod accessories were, and he had dancing light patterns that mimicked the flow of the music on his alabaster shell? You guessed it, oh wait you didn’t, that’s why I am here reporting on all sorts of nifty audio gadgets and iPod gadgets for you music nuts that just can’t seem to get enough.

The latest spending spree of mine landed me on the popular gadgetry website, http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com – a place that mostly resembles the personification of a Santa’s helper workshop, void of the elves of course. Amongst my trinket surfing at this popular one stop gadget shop, I happened upon this affordable and oh so loveable iPod gadget—which I promptly purchased for my wife. It’s called the iTurtle, and if you thought you could not afford one, think again: this beauty will only set you back about twenty bucks. Available online for $19.99 plus shipping of course.

All About the iTurtle
In a turtle shell (normally I say nutshell) the iTurtle is exactly what you see pictured in the upper left hand corner: a small and plastic, white turtle that has an illuminated shell. All you do is plug your iPod mobile music device into this iPod gadget and select a song to play. The iTurtle goes to work from there on out. He moves his tail to the beat, waves his head, flails his arms and his shell lights up with a lights display following the movements of the music that you are playing.

If you flick his tail he gets angry and won’t play music for a few minutes. After which he will whine and nod his head, beckoning you to start playing tunes for him to dance to once more. The iTurtle is really cute and only comes in the classic white Apple color for accessories. For all you brutish males out there who have no idea what to get your Nano-toting sweetheart for Valentine’s day, this little turtle will make them very happy, and it only set you back twenty bucks or so, leaving ample amounts of cash free for a fancy dinner.

Where you can get one
So far the only place that I have found that still has any iTurtles in stock is the Hasbro Toy Shop – click the link on the store name and you will be taken to the product order page. If you order by the end of January, you should be able to surprise your lover with one just in time!

My Thoughts:
For all of you guys out there who have a girlfriend that you don’t know what to buy for Valentine’s day, this makes the perfect, simple, inexpensive and fun gift. I bought one because my wife loves turtles and needs an iPod speaker. And for twenty bucks, it’s hard to beat this deal fellows.
