  • Smart Phones Top the List of Gadgets People will buy in 2009

    Add Comment

According to a recent report that I found on Yahoo News, which is dated today, February 26th, 2009 – people are still buying some gadgets amid a stifled economy, and others not so much. The gadgets that people are still racing to the stores and buying—contrary to popular belief—are smart phones. This includes the new Google phone, the Apple iPhone, Sprint’s version of the smart phones and of course, the many different Blackberry phones that are currently saturating the market.

But, there are some gadgets that people are not buying at all right now…gadgets that cannot seem to leave the store shelves that they are housed on no matter what the sale, discount or special that is being offered.

These gadgets are namely flat screen and flat panel TVs as well as plasma TVs. They just don’t leave the stores. According to many experts, most people already have a flat panel TV of sorts and just see no reason to upgrade.

  • Attack of the Useless Gadgets: iCap with Portable MP3 Hat Speakers!

Okay, where to start here. Just when you think that they could not possibly reveal another useless audio gadget, whoosh – here it is. Introducing the most expensive waste of money that you could ever purchase: The iCap. While I will give them an A+ for effort here, the idea is rather lame and useless. This iCap is a portable MP3 player that has a band that attaches to the brim of your hat so that you can take your tunes with you on the go. Two tiny, micro speakers allow for you to hear amazingly dull sounds. An even smaller display allows for you to use a magnifying glass to select the songs that you are trying to listen to (and I am sure they will give me some flak for this…go ahead, when you make a gadget this lame, you are going to hear gripes from gadget bloggers such as me).

    The iCap…only $115!
I don’t know which part about this gadget is worse, the overall lameness utter useless of it, or the ridiculous price tag that is attached. This gadget retails for $115 bucks plus taxes.
