For 15 years, Burt has carried a Champ Swiss Army knife in a little holster on his belt. He says that he uses it at least once or twice a day. I know that he has helped me many times with the tools in the knife. The Champ is one of the biggest Swiss Army knives with the most tools. It has blades, saws, pliers, scissors, screwdrivers, bottle and can openers, saws, files, magnifying glass and much more. The pliers don’t work very well but the scissors are useful and the saw is amazingly sharp.
Victorinox has been making Swiss Army knives for over 100 years. The original design was registered in 1897. The company founder, Karl Eisener, started the company to provide jobs because people were leaving Switzerland due to the lack of jobs. Going from hand crafting to industrial production was a bold move at the time.
They have many different knives now for a variety of users. There are special knives for hunters and fishermen, computer repairmen, office workers and other markets. Their knives are always well made and useful. Check out their product line to see if there is one that will suit your needs (I carry the smallest one in my purse!).
