One of the things I dislike most about a wired home office set up is all the cables. Between the power cables, connections for printers and peripherals, and the Ethernet cables for every Internet connected item, cables can become a huge mess. Now they don’t have to be, with the Cable Monkey Cable Organizer from ThinkGeek.
This cable organizer is a small plastic monkey with a wire inside him to wrap around cables. Because of the wire inside, this adorable monkey is fully adjustable to however many cables you contain – simply wrap his arms around the bunch of cables like a big monkey hug.
Being so flexible, the cable monkey could be used for any number of different grabbing applications. You could use him to hold pencils together, or for knitters, to hold double pointed needles together instead of those flimsy plastic coils. Kids would really love them too, so be sure to order extra if you have kids. You could even use it in a kid’s ponytail to add a little whimsy.
If you use it for cables on a desk that points to the wall though, all that cute will be wasted, which is the only downside I can see to this thing. At $5.99, I think the price is pretty reasonable – just look at how cute he is!
ThinkGeek is one of my favorite geeky shopping sites. They have so many cool gadgets and gizmos, and should be at the top of the list when you are shopping for a technology junkie.
